In addition to taking care of required League business, the Convention featured speakers and panels on voting and voting rights who drew attention to barriers to voting, what motivates people to vote, and what sources of information voters rely on. Friday and Saturday were full of workshops and caucuses on topics including Homelessness and Affordable Housing, California Water, Community Outreach, Social Justice, and Creating a Culture of Belonging. LWV Piedmont delegates Lorrel and Jennifer led the workshop on Community Outreach, which included panelists from SF Rising, CALPIRG Students, and CAIR..

A highlight of this year’s Convention was the Drag for Democracy fundraiser on Saturday evening that not only entertained with local drag celebrities, but also gave awards to several local politicians and activists who work for LGBTQ+ people, rights, and equality.
