Community Organizations

Appreciating Diversity Film Series - The mission of the Appreciating Diversity Film Series is to bring powerful documentaries that examine issues of diversity to community audiences. ADFS aims to provide a venue that stimulates community dialogue about institutionalized power imbalances, broadens awareness, challenges assumptions, and encourages the audience to work toward a more just world.

Piedmont Anti-Racism & Diversity Committee - Grounded in principles of racial equity, Piedmont Anti-Racism and Diversity Committee (PADC) works to dismantle systems of oppression, and replace them with policies and practices to nurture a connected and inclusive community.

Piedmont Asian American Club - The Piedmont Asian American Club (PAAC) was founded in 1987. The PAAC mission is to engage Piedmont schools and community in cultural, educational, and social activities while acting as a forum and resource for Asian American issues in Piedmont. PAAC members represent many countries throughout Asia. PAAC provides a forum and are a resource for Asian American issues within the Piedmont Community.

Piedmont Beautification Foundation - Piedmont Beautification Foundation (PBF) has worked since 1964, in partnership with the City of Piedmont, to create beautiful public spaces that foster a strong sense of pride and community. In addition to its many valuable contributions to parks, tot lots, schools and recreational facilities, PBF also brings the community together to celebrate the Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony every December.

Piedmont Center for the Arts - The mission of Piedmont Center for the Arts is to enable artists and students in various artistic disciplines – including music, dramatic arts, visual arts, and literature – to perform and display their works for residents of Piedmont and surrounding communities.

Piedmont Civic Association - The mission of the Piedmont Civic Association (PCA) is to maintain and enhance Piedmont as a desirable community through the informed participation of its citizens. This well-respected Piedmont organization originated in 1986. PCA is strictly non-partisan.

Piedmont Connect - Piedmont Connect is a collaborative community organization supporting resident initiatives and city efforts to build a sustainable future. Piedmont Connect's work includes education, advocacy, and events.

Piedmont Historical Society - The purpose of the Piedmont Historical Society is to encourage interest and increase knowledge of Piedmont’s unique local history, to publish material of historical interest, to produce exhibits and events and to collect material of historical importance to the city.

Piedmont Racial Equity Campaign - The Piedmont Racial Equity Campaign was launched in the aftermath of the George Floyd protests. PREC's aim is to galvanize the Piedmont community to engage in direct anti-racist actions. PREC works with allied organizations and individuals to raise awareness about racism and to support policies for racial justice and equity. PREC's primary focus areas are: reforming policing, diversifying our city and its leadership, promoting policies that lead to diverse, affordable housing, and promoting anti-racism in the schools.
